AB de Villiers displayed an acrobatic leap at the boundary to dismiss Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Alex Hales, and this catch is widely regarded as one of the greatest in IPL history. Over his IPL career, AB de Villiers has taken a total of 90 catches in 184 matches, averaging 0.49 catches per match.

2. Chris Lynn (KKR vs RCB) – 2014

Chris Lynn hit the series against Royal Challengers, AB de Villiers for a memorable catch at this match for the men in purple. A backward dive next to the boundary finishing the catch will remain forever in memory for KKR supporters. He has taken 20 catches from 41 IPL matches, with an average of 0.49 catches per match.​
